In a distinguished event organized by the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate in Lebanon and under the esteemed patronage of Dr. Abbas Al-Hajj, the Lebanese Minister of Agriculture, the Algerian Veterinary Space proudly accepted the official invitation to participate in the inaugural Global Veterinary Medical Conference. The conference, themed "Developing Veterinary Medicine Together," spanned three days, from May 5th to May 7th, 2023, at the prestigious Le Royal Hotel in Beirut, Lebanon.

The Algerian Veterinary Space was honored to have two prominent representatives at the event:

  1. Dr. Saadah Bendenia - President of the Algerian Veterinary Space.

  2. Dr. Anis Bouraba - Vice-President of the Algerian Veterinary Space of Foreign Affairs.

During an exclusive luncheon held to welcome the attending delegations, stimulating discussions and invaluable exchange of experiences and ideas took place. The Algerian delegation had the privilege of engaging with distinguished guests, including:

  • Members of the Veterinary Doctors Syndicate in Lebanon, who played a pivotal role in organizing the event.

  • Representatives from the Veterinary Doctors Syndicates in Egypt, Syria, and Iraq, fostering regional collaboration in the field of veterinary medicine.

  • Delegates from the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE), contributing their expertise and insights into global animal health initiatives.

  • Representatives from the World Veterinary Association (WVA), actively working towards advancing veterinary medicine on a global scale.

  • Officials from the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA), dedicated to the welfare and healthcare of companion animals.

  • Experts from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), providing valuable perspectives on the intersection of veterinary medicine and food security.

  • Dr. Hatem Sateen, a highly regarded veterinary professional from Egypt, enriching the conference with his extensive knowledge and experience.

The conference served as a platform for the Algerian Veterinary Space to showcase its commitment to the advancement of veterinary medicine. The presence of 25 exhibitors, including esteemed professors, researchers, and both local and international veterinary medical laboratories, further reinforced the importance of collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the field.
