EVA Becomes a Proud Member of the World Veterinary Association

We are thrilled to share a momentous achievement for the Algerian Veterinary Space, EVA! After a series of productive meetings and discussions, EVA's Vice President of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Anis Bouraba, President Dr. Saada Bendenia, and Vice President of Cultural Activities, Dr. Fergati Abderrahim, successfully secured membership for EVA in the esteemed World Veterinary Association (WVA).

The culmination of our efforts was marked by an important event—the 38th World Veterinary Association Congress held in Taipei, Taiwan, between April 26th and 29th, 2023. During this global gathering of veterinary professionals, the WVA Council took a decisive vote, unanimously welcoming EVA as a member organization.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and commitment of the entire EVA team, as well as the support and collaboration of our esteemed counterparts at the World Veterinary Association. We extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Rafael Laguens, the President of WVA, and Dr. Roula Shaban, the WVA Councillor on Middle East and North Africa, for their valuable guidance and support throughout the process.

As a member of the World Veterinary Association, EVA now joins an influential network of veterinary organizations and professionals from around the globe. This membership opens up immense opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and participation in global initiatives aimed at advancing animal health, veterinary medicine, and the well-being of animals worldwide.

We are excited to leverage this platform to represent the Algerian veterinary community and contribute to the global veterinary discourse. Our membership in the WVA not only recognizes the exceptional caliber of veterinary professionals in Algeria but also underscores our commitment to upholding international standards and best practices.

We extend our heartfelt appreciation to all our members, supporters, and partners who have played a significant role in EVA's journey and contributed to this remarkable milestone. Together, we will continue to work tirelessly to elevate the veterinary profession, promote scientific advancements, and advocate for the well-being of animals and public health.

Stay tuned for more updates on the fruitful collaborations and initiatives that will emerge from this new chapter for EVA as a proud member of the World Veterinary Association!
